Welcome back! So far, in this workshop, we have explored our core values, identified gaps and set goals to close them. The next step is to make specific plans to turn those goals- or better said, Values- into a reality.

President Dwight Eisenhower once observed that, “Plans are worthless, but planning is everything.”  What do you think he meant? Plans, if not acted upon, are completely worthless. At the same time, planning is everything if we are to take meaningful steps forward in our lives. Devising a plan to make something happen is central to intentional progress. It has also been said that the first casualty of war is the battle plan.

Now, there are two parts to planning. The first is to plan the steps necessary to make that goal a reality. That is to say:  what steps are necessary to accomplish my goal or live my value? The second part of planning is making the time to get it done. Let's focus first on planning the steps.
