In the previous module you discovered, clarified and prioritized your personal core values. If you're like most people, you probably found that a worthwhile exercise because we often think about our values, but seldom do we take the time to truly understand what they are- and that some values are more important to us than others. In this module, we are going to talk about how to close gaps between us and the things we value ... with goals.
Okay, imagine you and I are in a room with one hundred or more people. If I were to ask by a raise of hands how many of us value our health, almost everybody would raise their hand. I would then ask which would be a little more revealing: how many of us make decisions that undermine that value? I suspect if we take a close look at our own lives we will discover that many of our daily choices are not always in line with our core values. That is a gap.
Now, before you get depressed, don't worry. Every person that has ever been born has gaps. In fact, having gaps is just part of being human and you are like everybody else. However, just because everyone has gaps doesn't mean we should always live with them.
